DRAWING ACADEMY MARCEL BROODTHAERS
The “Drawing Academy” is organised in conjunction with the Marcel Broodthaers exhibition which runs from 3 July to 26 September 2010. This is not a retrospective exhibition but rather a selection of works from Broodthaers from the collections of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts, organised around specific themes such as “The Raven and The Fox” (by La Fontaine) or “A Throw of Dice” (by Stéphane Mallarmé).

The Forum of the Museums will host the “Marcel Broodthaers Drawing Academy” throughout the summer 2010. Since drawing was important for this poet artist, the “Drawing Academy” aims to celebrate this discipline.

People from the world of poetry, song, music, dance, and many more will pose as models. Drawing sessions will be led by professionals and will alternate with cinematic interludes and lectures on the history of art.
Everyone is welcome!
